Exploration of Use
Jesus Christ invites us to abide in Him and build His Kingdom, making disciples of all nations as we share in his mission as priests, prophets, and kings. The Spiritual Gifts are aspects of those ministries in which the Christian shares by virtue of Baptism. They can be grouped together as such:
- Priestly Gifts: Evangelism, Hospitality, Giving, Service, Intercession, and Mercy
- Prophetic Gifts: Exhortation, Teaching, Writing, Knowledge, Faith
- Kingly Gifts: Administration, Leadership, Pastoring, Discernment, Wisdom
- Beauty Gifts: Music (Vocal and Instrumental), Artistry, Skilled Craft
In what types of ministry will you be most effective? A brief list of ministry examples follows. These examples have been provided merely as thought starters and should not be considered an exhaustive list. Use them as a starting point in exploring the possibilities for putting your Gifts to use within your parish and in your community.
