Campaign Relaunch- October 25, 2026
Happy weekend!
One of the strategies I have heard on a number of occasions, especially in education, is that repetition is the mother of memory. A new thing I have been hearing, with regard to communications, is that you have to repeat an announcement 3-9 times in a different medium each time. So, here is another repetition in another medium!
As you know, we just relaunched our Forward in Faith and Excellence Campaign. If you are like me, you need visuals to explain what exactly is going on. Since I only used voice this weekend, here is a more concise and organized presentation of the information.
First and foremost, I want to thank you all for your generosity and support during the first push of the campaign. It has been inspiring seeing your stewardship!
As announced, Pius asked us for $1.8 million, and we increased it as a stretch goal to $2.5 million to accommodate different needs here at the parish. We are $300k short of the Pius goal. Fortunately, we are not going to be assessed that $300k if we don’t make it, but their mission is important for our parish, especially if we send our kids there for high school. Right now, we are getting about 28% back as a rebate, but anything over $1.8 million will come back to us as a 90% rebate. So, we’re helping ourselves out as well.
But I am so excited to see what we can accomplish at the parish level! We have already done a ton: we have renovated the school bathrooms, installed a gate in the lower parking lot, and increased school security with our intercom system and better door security. We now want to renovate JPII Hall (especially the buckling floors), JPII bathrooms, the music, and the gym and school lobbies. We would also love to renovate the school hallways if we get enough in. The school hallways are functional, but could use some beautification. All of this is dependent on what we can bring in from our parish generosity. It’s all 35 years old, so some updating is on the docket.
So those are our hopes! Priority goes to JPII Hall, but if we can get the rest taken care of as well, that would be amazing! Thanks again for all your generosity and for being such a blessing to me in my priesthood.
God bless!
