Witness to Love Mentors
Supporting engaged couples as they prepare for a lifelong marriage.
Are you interested in helping engaged couples prepare for the sacrament of marriage? Our Mentor Couple Ministry invites married couples to serve as faith witnesses and guides through the Witness to Love program.
As a mentor couple, you will meet with an engaged couple for six sessions, typically held in your home and spaced about a month apart. Each session includes a short video, guided discussion, and practical exercises to help couples grow in communication, family life, and understanding the sacrament of marriage. In one session, the priest celebrating their wedding joins to share insights on the theology and sacramentality of marriage.
Topics covered across the sessions include:
- Communication, Conflict Resolution, and Commitment
- Family Life and Relationships
- Friendship and Community
- Living Your Vows
- Theology and Sacrament of Marriage
- Providing for Family, Home, and Leisure
Mentor couples also encourage engaged couples to complete fun and meaningful challenges, such as going on a double date, attending Mass together, making a holy hour, or going to Confession before the wedding. This is a rewarding way to share your experience and witness to Christ’s love in marriage.
